Artist's Statement
Brooke Toczylowski is a multi-media artist who explores issues of race and class, with a focus on white privilege. She studies the constructions of race and the effects those archetypes have on personal identity. In particular, Toczylowski seeks to understand the relationship between her personal experience and socially constructed whiteness.
